1971 Pontiac GTO

1971 Pontiac GTO

Before Gerry’s award-winning ’41 Willy’s coupe and before her “The Runt” ’62 Chevy II, there was her stunning ’71 Pontiac GTO. Bill Hahn’s restoration of Gerry’s car is over ten years old! To be chosen as a Muscle Car of the Year finalist speaks to the high quality of the restoration as well as Gerry’s immaculate care of the car. Don’t get the impression that this car is a trailer queen….to the contrary; the car gets regularly driven to cruises throughout Western PA.

1970 VW Bus

1970 VW Bus

Interesting story, man goes to buy Porsche, man brings wife with him, wife sees VW Bus, wife says “oh look that reminds me of the one we had when our kids were growing up”. After both cars were bought, the wife says “you know that bus is red and the one we had was orange and I don’t like red”. The bus ended up in our shop. We changed the red to orange and went through all the mechanicals. Moral of the story is happy wife, happy life.

Dave, the owner, pulled the motor out to have it rebuilt. We were called to paint the engine compartment. Then he decided to have the body stripped and painted. Since the motor wasn’t done yet, he decided to have us do the interior. We put the motor back in and finished up the car.

Dave bought this car in the late 80s, he didn’t realize at the time that it was put together with a lot of 67 parts. When he brought it to Bill, he asked if he could make it a 100 point car. It has scored 400 out of 400 points at POCI Nationals. All the sheet metal was alkaline dipped, except for 2 NOS fenders. We often bought doubles of parts so we could pick the best ones. It was the first GTO restored to the level of NCRS Corvette standards. It has won numerous National awards.

Glen is the original owner of this car, he bought it when he gradutated college. After getting married, it was an everyday, family driver. He brought it to Bill for a complete ground up restoration in 1980. It was finished in January of 1983. It is a factory 426 cid dual 4 barrel 4 speed. One of 11 built that year. Glen opted for a non-stock color. In-spite of having much rust repair work, it is still as solid as it was the day it left the shop.

Dennis had this car restored twice with unsatisfactory results. The shop who works on his everyday cars directed him to us. First, we repaired the cracks in the doors. Dennis came back in the winter with a longer list. Each year, we would do more work on it. After about 5 years, we can say we restored the whole car. It’s been restored to an incredible, highly detailed level. He has won numerous awards. Also, has his AACA Grand National Badge.

1963 Ferrari 250 GT Lusso

1963 Ferrari 250 GT Lusso

We recently completed the complete, ground up restoration of this 1963 Ferrari 250 GT Lusso. Regarded as one of the most beautiful Ferrari’s of its time, the 250 GT Lusso’s Pininfarina design and V12 power make a statement all its own. Featuring a double wishbone front suspension and live axle rear end all tied to a tubular frame, the steel-bodied Lusso was virtually identical to its aluminum-bodied racing cousin. We’re extremely pleased with the end result. The beautiful Metallic Blue paint really sets it off, only 350 of these were cars made.

Little cousin to the legendary 300SL Roadster, the 190SL has commanded a lot of interest from collectors in recent years. This example came in with many needs including interior and severe rust in several areas.

The car was finished… in original colors, undergone a full nut and bolt restoration completed in the fall of 2015.

This car was purchased by Don Fezzel and came from the Richard Scaife estate. When Bill started this job it was already a basket case, with quarter panels welded in the wrong positions. These cars were hand built by Mercedes Benz in their Sindelfingin plant. Much research was required but it resulted in a highly detailed, outstanding example. The very first show was Amelia Island, where it won an Amelia Award. When it sold, it set a new world record for that model.
