This was an overall paint job with a little bit of body work. The owner had 2 hoods and neither was usable. So we made 1 good hood out of the 2.

1956 Mercedes-Benz 190SL

The 190SL series ran from 1955 to 1963. The 190SL came equipped with a 1.9-liter four-cylinder engine and four-speed manual transmission. Zero to sixty in about 14.5 seconds. This car was previously done, poorly. The front corners of the hood were binding. We had to open up the front gaps to get proper alignment. Underneath the body filler, there was a lot of inconsistent welding. These areas needed to be welded solid. All panels and attaching parts needed to be refit before going to primer.
